Sunshine, great teamwork, and generous support made Broadclyst Environment Group’s stall at the 2025 Broadclyst Fun Day a great success. With engaging displays, hands-on activities, and a strong team of volunteers, the group attracted many people throughout the event. A highlight was the prize draw, which raised nearly £300 — enough to fund the group’s running costs for the next couple of years.

The top prize, a night’s stay and breakfast for two at the new carbon net zero voco Zeal Hotel (Exeter Science Park), was presented by Henry Gent. Most prizes were generously donated by group members, with additional support from local sponsors including Tesco in Tithebarn.

Visitors of all ages got involved by building bug hotels and learning easy ways to support nature in their own gardens. The group also shared their popular Recipes for the Planet book, filled with delicious, low-carbon meal ideas to help households make more sustainable choices.
Thank you to everyone who bought tickets, made donations, or simply stopped by to learn more. If you would like to get involved in the work of the group, please contact us to find out more.
