Broadclyst Parish Unites for Successful Big Spring Clean

Over the weekend of 15th and 16th March 2025, more than 90 residents of Broadclyst Parish came together for a hugely successful community litter pick, organised by the Broadclyst Environment Group and as part of Keep Britain Tidy’s Big Spring Clean initiative.

The event saw organised litter picks taking place in Tithebarn, Broadclyst, and Westclyst, where an impressive 35 bags of rubbish were collected, massively reducing the amount of litter in our community.

We are incredibly grateful to the Parish Council and East Devon District Council for providing the litter-picking kits and for arranging collection of the rubbish after the event. A special thank you also goes to Tesco Express in Tithebarn for their generous donation of Easter egg treats, which were handed out to some of those who took part.

Most importantly, a huge thank you to everyone who volunteered! This event has once again shown what can be achieved when our community comes together. Let’s keep up the great work and continue making Broadclyst Parish a cleaner, greener place for all!
