The next Broadclyst Repair Café will be held on Saturday 28th March 2026, 10am–12pm, at Westclyst Primary School, Maddick Road, Westclyst, EX1 3YG.

The Broadclyst Environment Group is new to hosting Repair Cafés and plans to run them on the fourth Saturday every other month. Please check this webpage and our Facebook page for the latest updates and date confirmations.
What to Bring
Bring along your broken items, plus any spare parts if you know what’s needed. Our volunteer repairers carry a small selection of common spares, but may not have the exact part for every repair.
For sewing repairs (buttons, holes, zips), please bring specific items if you already know what’s required. We’ll always do our best, but can’t guarantee a perfect repair.
You may bring one item per person.
What We Can Repair
- Simple jewellery repairs and identification
- Apple tech issues
- Hand and machine sewing
- Small electrical items
- Toys
- Kids’ bikes
- Gardening and tool advice (no sharpening)
Our volunteers can also offer guidance on tricky tech problems. If an item can’t be repaired, we’ll help advise on next steps.
⚠️ Please note: we cannot repair items containing lithium polymer batteries due to fire risk.
Extra Help & Advice
Weather permitting, we hope a volunteer from the National Trust will be available to offer gardening and tool advice.
Refreshments & Donations
Relax with tea, coffee, cake, and good company while you wait. Homemade cakes include gluten-free and vegan options.
A voluntary £5 donation is welcome (but not essential) to help cover costs and keep the café sustainable. The same applies to refreshments.
