Final Details for Our Repair Café – Saturday 24th January 2026

Come along to Broadclyst parish’s first repair café, which is taking place on Saturday 24th January 2026, between 10 am and 12.30 pm at Westclyst Primary School, Maddick Road, Westclyst, EX1 3YG.

Please bring your broken items and spare parts with you if you know what is needed. Our volunteer repairers will do their best with a few common spares but might not have the exact part needed.

We can sew buttons, mend holes and replace zips. Again, if you know the part you need please bring it with you. We’ll always do our best but can’t guarantee we have everything for the perfect repair. 🪡

We can perform simple jewelry repairs such as changing clasps, re-stringing necklaces and identifying items.

Our volunteers can also fix toys, adjust kids bikes or provide guidance on troublesome tech! 🚴‍♀️

We’ll have a volunteer from the National Trust who can advise on gardening and tools (note that we won’t be able to sharpen tools).

If your broken item simply cannot be fixed, we’ll be able to offer advice on what to do.

While you’re with us, relax and enjoy our tea, coffee, cakes and company!

You may bring one broken item per person for repair.

A voluntary donation of £5 is most welcome but not essential to help cover costs and keep the café sustainable. The same goes for our tea, coffee and delicious homemade cake (gf and vegan options available).

Please note, unfortunately we can’t repair items containing lithium polymer batteries due to the fire risk.

Things we can repair:

  • Simple jewellery repairs or ID
  • Apple tech issues
  • Hand and machine sewing
  • Small electrical items
  • Toys
  • Kids’ bikes
  • Garden advice
